The Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) requires from the accredited laboratories to participate in the appropriate PT (proficiency testing) schemes for each accredited method, at least once during the period of the accreditation validity for a period of four years. The MECA laboratory of the Mining and Metallurgy Institute in Bor, a laboratory for non-destructive testing (steel ropes, metal materials and welded joints), accredited by the Accreditation Body of Serbia, is participated in an external control, participating in the PT program.
