Sažetak
Ovaj poduhvat ispituje fuziju mode, biomehanike i digitalne izrade kroz stvaranje korseta koji podržava držanje. Dizajn koristi parametarsko modeliranje u Grasshopper™-u za generisanje prilagođenih šablona, koji se zatim 3D štampaju direktno na tekstilnu površinu. Proširujuc'i postojec'a istraživanja o kombinaciji aditivne proizvodnje i tekstila, predstavljeni rad ima za cilj da proceni kako računarski dizajn može poboljšati i estetiku i funkciju u nosivim tehnologijama. Korset integriše dekorativne geometrije sa namenskim ojačanim delovima kako bi se podstaklo uspravno držanje bez ugrožavanja udobnosti. Projekat reinterpretira korset, istorijski simbol ženstvenosti i ograničenja, kroz prizmu algoritamskog dizajna i digitalne izrade. Zamenom tradicionalnog oblikovanja generisanim geometrijama, nosivi korset dovodi u pitanje konvencionalne narative o potpori tela i modi. Ovaj kontrast između prošlosti i buduc'nosti, mekoc'e i strukture, visoke mode i koda, služi kao osnova istraživanja dizajna. Kombinovanjem algoritamskog dizajna, podrške ličnom zdravlju i ekspresivne mode, ovaj poduhvat demonstrira potencijal 3D štampanja na tekstilu da pruži i biomehaničku korist i vizuelni identitet. Rad doprinosi rastuc'oj oblasti funkcionalne mode i predlaže nove tokove rada za personalizaciju nosive opreme na preseku dizajna i digitalne izrade.
Abstract
This endeavor looks into the fusion of fashion, biomechanics, and digital fabrication through the creation of a posture-supporting corset. The design utilizes parametric modeling in Grasshopper™ to generate bespoke patterns, which are then 3D printed directly onto a textile surface. Expanding on existing research into the combination of additive manufacturing and textiles, the presented paper aims to assess how computational design can enhance both aesthetics and function in wearable technologies. The corset integrates decorative geometries with purposefully reinforced areas to encourage upright posture without compromising comfort. The project reimagines the corset, a historical symbol of femininity and restriction, through the lens of algorithmic design and digital fabrication. By replacing the traditional boning with generated geometries, the wearable challenges conventional narratives around body support and fashion. This contrast between past and future, softness and structure, couture and code, serves as the foundation of the design inquiry. By combining algorithmic design, personal health support, and expressive fashion, this venture demonstrates the potential of 3D printing on textiles to deliver both biomechanical benefit and visual identity. The work contributes to the growing field of functional fashion and proposes new workflows for wearable customization at the intersection of design and digital fabrication.
