Abstract
Geographical Information System (GIS) was utilized in the development of an integrated pollution register within the territory of the city of Kruševac. Through analysis, identification, and mapping of air pollution sources at a local level, efficient strategies could be formulated for managing air quality, aiming to reduce air pollution and protect the population from adverse effects. The significance of drafting planning documentation and its compliance with national strategy and legal regulations, particularly the Air Protection Law, was emphasized. The geographical and administrative position of Kruševac city, as well as industrial entities and their impact on air quality, were taken into account. Concrete proposals for improving air quality and an action plan for their implementation were provided.
