Abstract
The establishment and activities of Sokol - a Slavic national liberation movement and physical culture organization - left a profound mark on the lives and work of many generations, particularly in the Raška region. This paper focuses on the rich heritage of the Sokol movement in the area of Nova Varoš, which was active from 1924 to 1941. The local Sokols' aspirations to build their own "nest" - a Sokol Hall - were long and arduous, marked by numerous challenges. Nevertheless, their efforts culminated in the construction of a significant architectural landmark that adorned the town's center for decades. Today, unfortunately, that building no longer exists, and the memory of it is gradually fading.
