Praćenje rudarske eksploatacije u cilju smanjenja negativnog uticaja na životnu sredinu
Monitoring of mining exploitation in aims to decrease negative impact of environment
Abstract
Serbia has a long history of mining, while limited quantities appear as obstacles, most often due to insufficient exploration of the potential. On the territory of Serbia, there are a lot of mineral resources, such as metals, precious and non-ferrous. We observed the development of mining in Serbia through three periods, from World War II to the 1980s, from the 1990s to the early 2000s, and from the mid-2000s to the present day. Mining operations in Serbia were rezoned into the Eastern, central and southern regions. All these segmentations of mining activities will affect the monitoring of ore exploitation in order to reduce negative impact on the environment. The paper analyzes the biggest problems affecting the environment, with special reference to the southern region, i.e. Southeast Serbia.
