Dear colleagues, dear friends,

In a time of rapid change and remarkable progress in science and technology, pharmaceutical sciences are expected to provide answers and solutions to the increasingly complex healthcare needs of modern society and individual patients. How scientific discoveries enable novel therapies and improved patient health outcomes, what is needed to achieve such transformative innovations, and how to integrate them in professional practice are some of the topics addressed during the 4th Scientific Symposium of the Pharmaceutical Association of Serbia, entitled “The Future of Pharmaceutical Sciences: Creative People and Innovative Ideas in Challenging Times.”
The symposium program includes two plenary lectures, six invited lectures, and five oral presentations, a poster session and a panel discussion devoted to current challenges and untapped opportunities for strengthening the partnership between the research sector and the pharmaceutical industry. Particular attention is given to various models of collaboration, the role of the state in fostering innovation and the potential of science to drive sustainable change in healthcare and the pharmaceutical sector.
We would like to thank all the participants who, through their ideas, scientific contributions and dedication, help shape a shared vision of pharmaceutical sciences and create the environment necessary for their further advancement.
