About Meeting/Proceedings: The RAILCON is continuing the tradition for the twenty-first time. As in previous years, the RAILCON hopes to gather scientists, experts and stakeholders from the region, to observe the ongoing changes in developed railways and suggest directions for further railway development in the region. The topics that will be considered during the Conference cover a wide and interdisciplinary range of subjects including but not limiting to rolling stock, traffic, infrastructure, maintenance, informatics, economics, strategy and politics.
During the RAILCON ’24 a specialized exhibition and marketing presentations will be organized for potential exhibitors that want to present their products and services to the Conference participants.
As Railways have an inherent advantages in terms of environmental performance, land use, energy efficiency and safety, strengthening the role of railway – both passenger and freight – in the transport system is an important goal. The aim of the RAILCON '24 is to contribute to more attractive, competitive, affordable, efficient and sustainable European rail system, integrated into the wider mobility system. The railway must further enhance its performance through innovation as major tool to solve current and future problems in the railway sector.
