3. Naučna konferencija sa međunarodnim učešćem "Gubici vode u sistemu javnog vodosnabdevanja" - Portrait

About Meeting/Proceedings:
The main goal of the Conference is the promotion and publication of the results of scientific work, research and professional work, as well as the exchange of ideas and experiences of experts in the field of planning, construction and management of water systems, with an emphasis on water loss management. The issue of water losses in public water supply systems has been emerging for a long time as very topical from several aspects. The conference wants to point out the importance of water supply management and especially the issue of responsible business and water loss management, i.e. the use of this natural resource in a way that is sustainable for generations to come, in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal number 6: "Provide clean water for all for drinking and sanitation". The Conference will discuss the issue of development and improvement of the water loss management system in water supply processes with the aim of systematizing and transferring the acquired knowledge to the levels of water supply companies, their founders and relevant ministries. The goal of the Conference is to point out the need for a clear distribution of responsibilities, as well as the fact that successful and sustainable reduction of drinking water losses requires a legal and financial framework from which binding regulations, defined goals, incentive measures and financial sources arise. The conference will also be an opportunity to exchange experiences and examples of good practice, as well as the opportunity for attendees to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements in this field and equipment for monitoring and managing water losses.
